Volunteer for the VSCCA Fall Finale at Lime Rock Park, Lakeville, CT. This is the VSCCA's final event of the year, scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Workers can volunteer for one or both days. New VSCCA volunteers must attend orientation on Friday. The schedule for both Friday and Saturday is as follows: Check-in at the VSCCA worker trailer is at 8:00 AM, followed by a Flag Meeting at 8:15 AM. First cars are on course at 9:00 AM. VSCCA cars will be on course for an hour at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. Worker breaks are at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. Lunch is from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM while the LRP Drivers Club is on track. The track will be cold by 6:00 PM latest. Workers can sign up for Worker Rides at the end of the day on Saturday, most likely at 5:40 PM. For the 5:20 PM session on Saturday, only a skeleton flag crew of 5 is needed. Workers not assigned to the 5:20 PM session can, after the 5:00 PM session, go to the tower to participate in race car laps. For unassigned flaggers on Saturday, make your way to the tower for Worker Rides at 5:20 PM. Meals include $25 cash for lunch on both Friday and Saturday, which can be used to purchase lunch at the track or kept. Friday dinner is a free potluck provided by the VSCCA, and Saturday dinner features free pizza and beverages from Mizza’s. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, wear all white, prepare for all types of weather, and bring sun and bug protection. Experience is not required, but appreciated. All volunteers must sign the Lime Rock Park waiver at the gate and the VSCCA waiver at the flag meeting.
