The Chesapeake Region presents Woods, Wine and Wheels, an off-road tour around the Frederick City Watershed on Sunday, September 6th. The tour starts and ends at Springfield Manor Winery, Brewery and Distillery in Thurmont, MD. The assembly point address will be sent to confirmed registrants by September 5th. The driver's meeting is at 10:45 AM, with the first cars departing at 11:00 AM. This approximately 25-mile tour is expected to take 60 minutes and concludes at Springfield Manor Winery, Brewery and Distillery, located at 11836 Auburn Rd, Thurmont 21788. This light off-road tour explores the Frederick Municipal Forest, featuring hills, tall green trees, ferns, clear streams, impressive rock formations, and wildlife. The event focuses on driving at safe off-road speeds and experiencing the off-road capability of Porsche Cayenne and Macan vehicles. The bumpy gravel roads are suitable for these Porsche SUVs. Non-Porsche vehicles designed for off-road driving are also welcome to participate. Registration is open now and closes at 1:00 PM on September 1st. The fee is $5 per adult, with a maximum fee of $10 per car; minors 17 and younger are free. MotorsportReg charges a $2 booking fee per registration. PCA members and their guests must be registered and confirmed to attend. Drivers must be adult PCA members with a valid driver's license. PCA waiver forms must be completed and signed by all, either online or on paper. Event capacity limits apply for both cars and people.
