This event is for volunteer corner workers for Round 7 of Washington Motorcycle Road Racing. Corner workers must be at least 18 years old. Those under 18 should contact the Corner Captain to discuss arrangements. Experience is not required; training is provided each morning before racing begins. Duties may include operating radios, displaying flags, or actively assisting with downed bikes, track debris, or riders. Your participation is important for a safe race day. The schedule begins at 6:30am with coffee, tea, and breakfast, followed by corner assignments and equipment pickup. A Corner Workers Safety Meeting is at 7:00am, covering flags, radios, emergency procedures, and trackside updates. At 8:00am, corner workers will attend the Riders Safety Meeting for the day's schedule and important information. Workers will head to their assigned corners by 8:30am after picking up provided water and snacks, and then walk their section of the track at 8:45am to ensure it is ready. Lunch and beverages are provided between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. After lunch, workers will return to their corners, with the option to switch corners after consulting the Corner Captain. Shutdown is at 5:00pm, followed by equipment return and complimentary adult beverages or cold sodas. This is a rain or shine event, so rain gear is recommended. Recommended attire includes long pants, sleeves, and closed-toe shoes. Tank tops, sandals, flip-flops, tights, yoga pants, workout pants, and shorts are not permitted. Avoid wearing red or other colors that could conflict with race flags. You can sign up for one day or both days.
