The Texas Region SCCA presents Time Trial, Track Day, and HPDE #8 at Motorsports Ranch Cresson 3.1 on Saturday, November 14, 2026. This event offers three distinct registration options: Novice/HPDE, Track Day, and Time Trials. The Novice/HPDE group is designed for drivers with limited or no track experience. Participants will attend classroom sessions covering track driving concepts, flagging, and etiquette, followed by on-track sessions with an in-car coach or lead-follow instruction. Successful completion leads to Track Day approval, also known as a Solo Signoff, and an SCCA Time Trial Novice license. The Track Day group is for approved solo drivers, equivalent to an intermediate group. Transponders are optional for this non-competition group, and passing is allowed by point-by on approved straights. The Time Trials group is the competition category, requiring transponders for time collection and offering points towards the season-long championship. Passing is permitted by point-by anywhere on the track in this group. Driver qualifications for the Track Day group include a current Track Day approval from Texas Region SCCA Time Trials, an SCCA Time Trials Intermediate or Advanced license, an SCCA Road Race competition license, or solo/intermediate approval from recognized HPDE schools. A waiver from the Chief Driving Instructor or Time Trials Chair may also be accepted. Similarly, Time Trials group qualification requires current Time Trials approval from Texas Region SCCA, an SCCA Time Trials Advanced license, an SCCA Road Race competition license, or advanced group approval from recognized organizations. A waiver is also an option for Time Trials. We observe a "Trust but Verify Policy" for outside certifications, which may include a short check-ride during your first session, with contact made prior to the event to discuss prior experience. You can request an entry waiver by contacting the Chief Driving Instructor or Time Trials Chair. MyLaps/AMB transponders must be compatible with our timing system; please email the Time Trials Chair or Timing & Scoring Lead for clarification if unsure. Spectators are welcome to attend with no charge or registration required. All spectators must sign a waiver upon arrival. Minor spectators must sign a minor waiver and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.
