Texas Region SCCA presents Time Trial, Track Day, and HPDE #7 at Motorsports Ranch Cresson, 1.7 CW, on Sunday, September 13th, 2026. This event offers three distinct registration options: Novice/HPDE, Track Day, and Time Trials. Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge but must sign a waiver upon arrival. Minors must sign a minor waiver and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Novice/HPDE group is designed for drivers with little to no track experience. Participants will engage in classroom sessions covering track driving concepts, flagging, and etiquette, followed by on-track sessions with an in-car coach or lead-follow instruction. Graduating from this group provides a Track Day approval, also known as a Solo Signoff, and an SCCA Time Trial Novice license. The Track Day group is for those with a Solo Signoff from SCCA or an equivalent HPDE program. This intermediate group allows optional transponder rental for unofficial times and permits point-by passing in approved straights. Driver qualification for Track Day includes holding a current Track Day approval, an SCCA Time Trials Intermediate or Advance license, an SCCA Road Race competition license, or approval from specified HPDE schools. Waivers from the Chief Driving Instructor or Time Trials Chair are also accepted. The Time Trials group is a competition category, also known as Time Attack or Advanced. Participants are required to rent or bring a compatible transponder for official time collection and accrue points toward the season-long championship series. Passing is allowed by point-by anywhere on track. Driver qualification for Time Trials includes a current Time Trials approval from Texas Region SCCA Time Trials, an SCCA Time Trials Advanced license, an SCCA Road Race competition license, or approval for the advanced group from specified organizations. Waivers from the Chief Driving Instructor or Time Trials Chair are also accepted. A "Trust but Verify Policy" is in place for outside certifications, which may require a short check-ride during your first session with the program. You will be contacted before the event for more information regarding your prior experience. Entry waivers can be requested by contacting the Chief Driving Instructor or Time Trials Chair. If bringing your own MyLaps/AMB transponder, ensure it is compatible with the timing system; contact the Time Trials Chair or Timing & Scoring Lead for clarification.
