Turn2 Motorsports is hosting a high-performance driving event on Friday, October 2nd, at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA. The event takes place on the Road Course. This event promotes a fun, safe, and predictable atmosphere for drivers. Events typically run in three run groups based on driving abilities. The A group is for seasoned track veterans, qualified racers, and instructors; every A driver must be personally signed off by Tom or Chris. The B group is for drivers with moderate track time not yet ready for the A group. The C group is for drivers recently signed off solo by an instructor from Turn2 or a similar venue. New track drivers are required to have a dedicated instructor for the C group. Instructors are available for all skill levels and are sometimes mandatory. Drivers from 14 to 114 years old are accepted, and passengers as young as 14 are allowed to ride with a qualified driver. A program to start students driving at 14 is available; contact Tom or Matt for details. All events are fully staffed with turn workers, a tow truck for disabled vehicles, and local EMTs. A lunch break is provided where food can be purchased from the Ridge Cafe. Track fees for the 2026 driving season are $450 per day. Each entrant must have a driver profile at Motorsportreg.com with updated personal information, emergency contact information, and all vehicle information. The minimum age to drive is 14 years old. Drivers should perform a thorough vehicle tech inspection prior to the event; a self-tech will also be conducted at check-in. Convertibles without stock rollover protection from the manufacturer require aftermarket rollover protection. Helmets must be 2020 Snell rated or newer, and Turn2 offers helmet rentals upon request. New drivers will be contacted by Matt, the chief driving instructor, to arrange an instructor. A dedicated instructor costs $300 for the day. Experienced drivers can request an instructor per session for $50 per session. Checks, cash, and Venmo are accepted payment methods; credit card payments are not accepted. Paying via Venmo or check prior to the event streamlines morning check-in. Checks can be sent to Tom Pritchett at 3718 N Carolwood Ct, Post Falls ID 83854. A confirmation letter will be emailed approximately 3 weeks before the event after manual registration review. This email comes from a third-party server (MotorsportReg), so check your junk mail. If no notification is received, contact the registrar. The cancellation policy states that if a driver cancels within one week of an event, half of the track fees are due. If a driver cancels within 72 hours or no-shows, the entire amount of the track fees are due. Cancellation insurance is offered, allowing cancellation for any reason at any time; refer to turn2lapping.com for more information. This is a high-speed driving event, not a racing event. While safety is the primary consideration, incidents may occur that could cause vehicle damage or personal injury. Drivers will be in class sessions with other drivers whose vehicles may be uninsured or unregistered. Drivers are completely responsible for the safe operation and mechanical condition of their vehicles. Turn2 Motorsports Inc., its officers, instructors, staff, and facility providers assume no responsibility for accidents of any kind during this event. Track day insurance is available from providers such as Lockton Insurance, Hagerty, and On Track Insurance on a per-day basis.
