The Tidewater Sports Car Club presents the December to VIRmember HPDE at Virginia International Raceway on Saturday, December 12, 2026, and Sunday, December 13, 2026. This high performance driving event utilizes the full course at VIR for two days. Drivers are grouped into five categories based on skill level: Green, Yellow, Purple, Blue, and White. Green is the Novice group for drivers with limited or no track experience; instructors are required and provided. Yellow is the Intermediate group for drivers with a few weekends of experience and prior solo sign-off. Purple is the Upper Intermediate group for solo drivers ready for a faster pace. Blue is the Advanced group for drivers with many track weekends and experience passing in corners. White is the Instructor run group. Each group receives four 20 to 25 minute sessions per day. Experience will be verified, and run group assignments may be adjusted. Weekend student and solo pricing is $595. Single day pricing is $400 for solo drivers only. Instructors are admitted at no charge with a one-student guarantee and provide in-car instruction. New instructors should email trackevents@tidewatersportscarclub.com to confirm their experience. Cancellations within 45 days of the event may incur a $125 administrative fee and receive credit only. Cancellations within 14 days of the event receive no refund or credit.
