The Great Midsummer Fly-In/Drive-In is Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chautauqua County Airport in Jamestown, New York. This event brings together aviation and automotive enthusiasts for a day of competition and recreation. Attendees can enjoy Whiskey 7 rides and discovery flights from Great Lakes Flight Center. The event features a 50/50 raffle and additional raffles throughout the day. Admission is free. A judging competition will have pilots evaluate classic cars, while car owners judge aircraft. Awards include oldest and newest vehicles in both categories, most and least aesthetically pleasing planes and cars, and an award for the aircraft or automobile that traveled the farthest distance. Airplane clubs for Cessna, Vans Aircraft, Mooney, and Piper J-3 models will compete for an attendance award. Pilots operating unconventional aircraft are also welcome. Food vendors will offer chicken barbecue, burgers, and hotdogs for $15 per person. All proceeds from the event benefit the Alan D Fuller Memorial Flying Scholarship.
