The FIRM Open Track Sunday is on August 30 at Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park in Starke, Florida. This event focuses on providing ample track time for drivers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced individuals. It is designed for improving technique, testing setups, or simply enjoying quality time behind the wheel in a safe, structured, and low-traffic environment. Run groups are limited to nine cars per session to ensure more laps and less traffic. Drivers will participate in a morning vote to choose one of four different Short Course layouts for the day. Gates open at 7:30 AM, with vehicle technical inspection at 8:00 AM, and a mandatory drivers meeting, including the course layout vote, at 8:45 AM. The track will be open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Gates close at 5:00 PM. Pricing for non-members is $250 for early registration, which requires registration at least three days in advance. Standard registration and at-the-gate registration cost $275. Driver's Club Members receive free unlimited Open Track Days. Additional fees include $100 for a private 20-minute instruction session, required for first-time HPDE participants, $100 for an additional driver sharing a vehicle, $35 for a FIRM transponder rental, $25 for a Link personal transponder, $25 for a passenger fee, and $25 for helmet rental on a first come, first served basis. Drivers must complete and bring a printed Tech Inspection Form on event day. Participants are responsible for confirming track and event coverage with their personal insurance provider. This event runs rain or shine. The FIRM has a no refund policy, but a credit valid for 90 days will be issued if notice is provided at least 24 hours prior to the event. Events are subject to change due to private track rentals and facility operations; cancellations or rescheduling will result in credits for a future event, with notification sent via email at least two days prior. A minimum of 10 registered drivers is required for the event to run.
