The FIRM Open Track Day on Sunday, August 16, at Florida Int'l Rally & Msport Park in Starke, FL, provides dedicated seat time for drivers of all experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned enthusiasts. The event runs rain or shine, and drivers can refine techniques, test setups, or practice consistency on a low-traffic track environment. Drivers will also vote in the morning to select one of four short course layouts. Open Track Day gates open at 7:30 AM, followed by vehicle technical inspection at 8:00 AM. A mandatory drivers meeting and course layout vote are scheduled for 8:45 AM. The track is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, breaks for lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and reopens from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Gates close at 5:00 PM. All drivers must bring a completed and printed Tech Inspection Form to the event. Non-member registration is $250 for early registration at least three days in advance, or $275 for standard and at the gate registration. Driver's Club Members receive free unlimited Open Track Days; memberships are available at gorally.com/drivers-club. Additional fees include $100 for a private 20-minute instruction session, which is required for first-time HPDE participants, $100 for an additional driver sharing a vehicle, $35 for FIRM transponder rental, $25 to link a personal transponder, $25 for passengers, and $25 for helmet rental on a first come, first served basis. The FIRM has a no-refund policy, but credits valid for 90 days will be issued if notice is provided at least 24 hours prior to the event. Events are subject to change or cancellation due to private track rentals or facility operations, and in such cases, credits will be applied to a future event. Notification of cancellations or schedule changes will be sent via email at least two days prior to the event. A minimum of ten registered drivers is required for the event to run. Participants are responsible for confirming track and event coverage with their personal insurance provider.
