The FIRM Open Track event takes place on Saturday, August 29, at the Florida International Rally & Motorsport Park in Starke, Florida. This event prioritizes seat time and is designed for all experience levels, from first-timers to experienced drivers. Drivers can work on fundamentals, test new builds, refine techniques, and improve lap times in a safe, structured, and low-traffic environment. Run groups are limited to 9 cars per session, providing more laps and less traffic. Drivers will participate in a morning vote to choose one of four different Short Course layouts. The track will be open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Gates open at 7:30 AM, vehicle technical inspection is at 8:00 AM, and a mandatory drivers meeting is at 8:45 AM. Gates close at 5:00 PM. Driver’s Club Members receive unlimited Open Track Days for free. Non-member pricing is $250 for early registration (at least 3 days in advance) or $275 for standard registration and at the gate. Additional fees include $100 for a private 20-minute instruction session (required for first HPDE event ever), $100 for an additional driver in a shared vehicle, $35 for a FIRM transponder rental, $25 for a Link Personal Transponder, $25 for a passenger fee, and $25 for helmet rental (first come, first served). All FIRM track policies, vehicle technical inspection requirements, and Open Track rules apply and can be found at gorally.com/track-days. A minimum of 10 registered drivers is required for the event to run. Participants are responsible for confirming track and event coverage with their personal insurance provider. This event runs rain or shine. The FIRM has a no refund policy, but a credit valid for 90 days will be issued if notice is provided 24 or more hours prior to the event. Events may be subject to change due to private track rentals and facility operations; in such cases, credits will be applied to a future event. Notifications of cancellations or schedule changes will be sent via email at least 2 days prior to the event. All drivers must complete and bring a printed Tech Inspection Form on event day.
