The FIRM Open Track Day is on Friday, September 25th, at Florida International Rally and Motorsport Park in Starke, FL. This event focuses on maximizing seat time for drivers of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts, who want to improve their skills, test setups, or enjoy quality time behind the wheel. Run groups are limited to nine cars per session, ensuring more laps and less traffic. Drivers will also vote in the morning to choose one of four different short course layouts for the day. Gates open at 7:30 AM, with vehicle technical inspection at 8:00 AM. A mandatory drivers meeting, including the course layout vote, begins at 8:45 AM. The track is open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Gates close at 5:00 PM. Entry costs are $250 for early registration (minimum three days in advance) or $275 for standard registration and at the gate. Driver's Club members receive unlimited Open Track Days for free. Additional fees apply for a private 20-minute instruction session ($100, required for first-time HPDE participants), an additional driver ($100), FIRM transponder rental ($35), personal transponder linking ($25), passenger fee ($25), and helmet rental ($25, first come, first served). All FIRM track policies, vehicle technical inspection requirements, and Open Track rules are available at gorally.com/track-days. Events run rain or shine and are subject to change. A minimum of 10 registered drivers is required for the event to run. No refunds will be issued; however, a credit valid for 90 days will be issued if notice is provided 24 hours prior to the event. Drivers must complete and bring a printed Tech Inspection Form on event day. Participants are responsible for confirming track and event coverage with their personal insurance provider.
