The FIRM Open Track Friday will take place on August 28 at the Florida International Rally and Motorsport Park in Starke, FL. This open track day is designed for all experience levels, from first-timers to experienced drivers refining techniques, testing setups, or dialing in lap times. The event offers a safe, structured, and low-traffic environment for drivers to focus on becoming better behind the wheel. Run groups are limited to nine cars per session, allowing for more laps and less traffic. Drivers will also help shape the experience, as each event includes a morning vote to choose from one of four different Short Course layouts. The track will be open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Gates open at 7:30 AM, and a mandatory drivers meeting, including the course layout vote, will be held at 8:45 AM. Gates close at 5:00 PM. Non-member pricing is $250 for early registration, which is a minimum of three days in advance, and $275 for standard registration or at the gate. Driver's Club Members receive free unlimited open track days. Additional fees include $100 for a private 20-minute instruction session, which is required for first-time HPDE participants, and $100 for an additional driver fee for shared vehicles. Transponder rentals are $35 for The FIRM transponder or $25 for a Link Personal Transponder. A passenger fee is $25, and helmet rentals are $25 on a first come, first served basis. Events run rain or shine but require a minimum of 10 registered drivers to run. A no refund policy is in place, but a credit valid for 90 days will be issued if notice is provided 24 or more hours prior to the event. Participants are responsible for confirming track and event coverage with their personal insurance provider.
