SCDA hosts an HPDE and open track day event at Virginia International Raceway on September 21-22, 2026. This is the only Virginia International Raceway event for the 2026 season. The event will use the 3.27-mile full course on both days and focuses on driver skill improvement, safety, education, and quality track time. Monday, September 21, is a full day open to all drivers, including Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Novice drivers receive in-car instruction. All groups can participate in professional classroom sessions. Participants can expect 4-5 sessions on track. Tuesday, September 22, is also a full day with 5-6 hours of open track for Intermediate and Advanced drivers, and 4-5 sessions for Novice drivers. Novice drivers will receive in-car instruction. Professional coaching and race car rentals are available on both days, and professional classroom sessions are provided for all groups. Run groups include Novice (Green Group) for drivers with 0-5 events, requiring an in-car instructor with a lead-shadow option. Intermediate 1 (Blue Group) is for drivers with prior experience and instructor sign-off, minimum 5 events. Intermediate 2 (White Group) is for experienced solo drivers with 20 or more track events. Advanced (Red Group) is for the highest level of drivers with years of track experience, where passing is permitted anywhere with a point-by. If you are unsure which group to join, contact SCDA for assistance. Entry fees vary by run group and day. For Novice drivers, Day 1 is $599, Day 2 is $599, and both days are $999, including in-car instruction. Intermediate and Advanced drivers pay $449 for Day 1 and $599 for Day 2. The Open Track option for Intermediate and Advanced drivers for both days is $949. Discounts include $100 off for 2-day Intermediate and Advanced entries, $200 off for 2-day Novice entries (automatically applied), $50 off for Porsche Feature Marque vehicles, $50 off for early registration two months prior, and $25 off for early registration one month prior.
