SCDA will host its 2026 Season Finale HPDE Track Day Event at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on November 14-15, 2026. This event offers participants the opportunity to drive both the Lightning and Thunderbolt tracks. The event emphasizes improving driver skills through safety, education, and quality track time. Drivers will experience 4-5 on-track sessions each day. The event is open to Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Drivers. Novice drivers receive in-car instruction. Professional classroom sessions are available for all groups, and a track walk will also be provided. Race car rentals are available. In the event of unsafe weather conditions preventing track operation, a full credit will be issued toward another SCDA event. The Lightning track is 1.9 miles long and offers high speed excitement. The Thunderbolt track is 2.25 miles long with fast, flowing corners. The event schedule is Saturday, November 14, from 12 PM to 4 PM on Lightning, and Sunday, November 15, from 10 AM to 2 PM on Thunderbolt. Run groups include Novice (Green Group) for drivers with 0-5 events, requiring an in-car instructor or lead-shadow option. Intermediate 1 (Blue Group) is for drivers with prior experience and instructor sign off (minimum 5 events). Intermediate 2 (White Group) is for experienced solo drivers with 20 or more track events. Advanced (Red Group) is the highest level, for drivers with years of track experience, and requires passing anywhere with a point-by. Drivers unsure of their group can email SCDA for guidance. Entry fees are $449 for Intermediate and Advanced Drivers, or $799 for both days. Novice drivers pay $549, or $949 for both days, which includes in-car instruction. Discounts include $100 off for Intermediate and Advanced drivers registering for two days, and $150 off for Novice drivers registering for two days; these are applied automatically. Toyota drivers receive $50 off. An early registration discount of $50 is available two months prior to the event, and $25 off one month prior.
