Saginaw Valley Region hosts Autocross Competition Event 11 at Barstow Airport in Midland, MI, on Sunday, October 4th. Gates open at 8:00 AM; enter off Sturgeon Road and follow the signs. Registration and tech inspection run from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A novice walk begins at 9:30 AM, with the course open for walking until 10:00 AM. The drivers meeting is at 10:00 AM, with cars moving to grid at 10:15 AM and the first car off at 10:30 AM. This event will run rain or shine. Attendees should bring their driver's license, SCCA member card and annual waiver card if applicable, plenty of water, and lunch as there is no on-site vendor. Other recommended items include sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, rain gear, a hat, a folding chair, a tire pressure gauge, and tools with jack stands that protect the asphalt. There will be no official awards ceremony; trophies will be distributed at the event from a table or mailed afterward. A condensed on-site drivers meeting will address any questions. Entry fees are $40 for SCCA members and $60 for non-SCCA members. Full refunds are available by request for those feeling unwell, or a future event credit can be provided. Please notify organizers promptly to allow waitlisted individuals to take the spot. SCCA members are strongly encouraged to obtain yearlong waivers, or "hard cards," by logging into their SCCA account, printing a waiver form, and having it notarized or signed by an SCCA member witness. Hard cards can also be obtained by signing the form in front of a waiver worker at an event. Site-specific waiver forms will still need to be signed with a waiver worker upon entry. Organizers are seeking volunteers for all specialty areas.
