All participants must be at least 18 years of age to ride and must provide documentation of track experience or a race license for experience verification. Guests can register seven days before the event. The Riders Club event is a Rider Education day focused on vehicle control and driver skill development; it is not a racing event. Participants are placed into run groups based on experience, skill, and vehicle type, and will not be pressured to exceed their comfort level. Fuel stations at both Thunderbolt and Lightning Raceways are open from 8 AM to one hour before the scheduled end of day. Helmet requirements include a full-face helmet that is Snell, DOT, or European approved. Snell M and SA rated helmets must be SM/SA2020 or SM/SA2025; SM/SA2015 helmets are not permitted. FIA helmets are permitted with valid dates. Beginner and Novice riders need a full coverage one or two piece leather suit, with two-piece suits requiring a zipper connection between top and bottom. Intermediate and above riders must wear a one-piece suit. All riders are required to wear gauntlet style gloves, a back protector, and over-the-ankle boots, with motorcycle riding boots preferred. A tech inspection is required for each motorcycle before track access; a Riders Club official will conduct this the morning of the event, but participants should review the tech form beforehand. Cancellation policies require Riders Club Members to cancel 48 hours before the event, by 9 AM on Motorsportsreg.com, for a full refund. Non-members and guests must cancel seven days before the event date on Motorsportsreg.com for a refund. Paddock speed limit is 5 MPH, and access road speed limit is 25 MPH. Testing vehicles or bedding brakes on infield roads is not permitted. The pit lane speed limit for non-racing events is 20 MPH. Participants are responsible for any damage to NJMP property, including Armco, tire wall, brake marker, oil spill clean-up, paddock, and garage damage.
