SCCA Detroit Region presents the Press On Regardless National Tour RoadRallys on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Baymont by Wyndham, 510 Wisconsin Ave, Gaylord, MI 49735. This event features two 230-mile brisk time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRallys, with a separate sanction for each day. Many historic, challenging, and fun roads from the 1960s and early 70s POR will be used. The Richta GPS Checkpoint app will be used for timing. The cumulative score from both days will determine the overall winner of the 2026 POR. You can expect around 100 checkpoints each day. First run in 1949, Press On Regardless is the oldest continuously run rally in North America. These straightforward Tour RoadRallys will use a mix of unpaved (80%) and paved (20%) roads, varying from smooth fast gravel roads to tight and technical single lane roads. While not a car breaker, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. Liberal use of free zones and pauses will help navigate through any rough areas on the route. The route for each day will start and finish in Gaylord and stay in the Lower Peninsula. Friday's route will travel east toward the Millersburg area, and Saturday's route will travel southeast toward Mio, Glennie, and Luzerne. The event welcomes novices and offers points toward Detroit Region, Great Lakes Division SCCA, and the SCCA National RR Championship. Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) or Side by Sides are not allowed due to speed and driving rules on many forest roads. Pre-registration is required and closes on Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00 PM EST. There is a 30 car limit for each day. The fee for SCCA members is $100 per car for Friday, September 11, and $110 per car for Saturday, September 12. Non-members must purchase a weekend membership for $25 per person. Free T-shirts will be provided to competitors who register before August 12, 2026; please provide shirt sizes for both entrants. A block of rooms with 2 queen beds is available at the Baymont by Wyndham of Gaylord for Friday and Saturday night until August 12, 2026, at a special rate of $129 per night plus tax. This rate also applies for Thursday, September 10. Specify "Press on Regardless" when booking by calling 989-731-6331. The tentative schedule is as follows: on Friday, Car #1 starts at 3:01 PM and finishes around 11:30 PM. On Saturday, Car #1 starts at 1:01 PM and finishes around 10:30 PM. Awards for both days and overall POR will be presented on Saturday after the finish of the rally at The Landing Zone. The Richta GPS Checkpoint app is required and can be found on Google Play Store or Apple App Store by searching "Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints" or by visiting the links provided. Participants will enter in one of the following classes: E (Equipment unrestricted), G (GPS-derived odometer), L (Odometer unrestricted, calculating device not integrated with odometer), S (Unmodified stock odometer only, calculating device not integrated with odometer and clock), Novice (Same as Class S for teams with less than 6 combined TSD rallies), and V (Vintage class for vehicles 25 years or older, run concurrently for a separate trophy).
