Drive your car on the track at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA, for a Driver’s Education event on September 3, 2026. This event focuses on developing advanced car control skills in a structured, non-competitive environment on the road course with the chicane. Drivers of all car manufacturers are welcome, and PCA membership is not required to participate. In-car instruction is provided for drivers not approved for solo driving. Solo-approved drivers may request an instructor based on availability. The track will be hot from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break at noon. Gates open at 7:00 AM for tech inspection and registration, followed by a mandatory drivers meeting at 8:10 AM. Registration opens July 6, 2026, at 8:00 AM and closes August 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM. The fee for all-day participation is $395. All participants are initially placed on a waitlist, with confirmation and payment processed 30 days prior to the event. A limited number of rental helmets are available with advance reservation for $30. Each participant must create an account at MotorsportReg.com, update their personal information, and provide VINs for all vehicles they plan to bring. Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid, non-restricted driver’s license, which will be checked at event check-in. Up to two drivers may share a car, but each must register separately, pay the full fee, and participate in different run groups. A Pre-Event Tech Form must be submitted within 30 days before each event. Tech team instructions will be provided 30 days prior. You may have a certified mechanic complete the form, or do it yourself if qualified. Both drivers must submit separate forms if sharing a car. All cars must be inspected before every event. Head and neck restraints are required for drivers and passengers in cars with harnesses. Helmets must carry Snell SA, SAH, FIA, SFI 31.1, or BS6658-85 Type A/FR certifications; SM rated helmets are not allowed. Snell SA2015 rated helmets are permitted until June 30, 2026, unless the helmet has a legible Manufacturing Date. All helmets with a legible Manufacturing Date are allowed until the end of the 10th year after that date. If no Manufacturing Date is available, the helmet is permitted until the end of the year 10 years after the Snell sticker. Vehicles must have independently operating turn signals or drivers must be able to signal with a fully extended arm. Convertibles without manufacturer-installed rollover protection must have additional rollover protection installed. Vehicles with removable tops must have the top fully installed and secured. Porsche models with ‘Mezger’ dry sump engines prone to coolant fitting failure require proof of welded or pinned coolant pipe fittings, with an invoice submitted to PNWR. 997.2 Turbo models (2010–2013) are exempt. Referrals to local shops for inspection are available if you are unsure about your car’s fittings or lack records. Online payment is mandatory, but your card will not be charged until registration is confirmed. Check your registration status and assigned car number at MotorsportReg.com. You will receive an email with track instructions, maps, schedules, and instructor assignments the week before the event.
