NWAA is hosting a track event at Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley, OR. This event will run counter-clockwise, rain or shine, and is focused on maximizing track and seat time in a fun, non-competitive environment. This is not a race, and there will be no trophy. Drivers should prioritize safety, be courteous, and use point-to-pass maneuvers while paying attention to mirrors. Passing rules will be covered during the mandatory driver's meeting. Please drive courteously in Sherman County. The event is limited to 60 drivers, divided into three run groups with a maximum of 20 drivers per group. Group A is for drivers new to ORP or with limited track experience, with prior autocross experience recommended. Attendance at the driver's meeting is mandatory for Group A; failure to attend means you will not drive and no refund will be issued. Group B is for intermediate drivers with prior track day experience at ORP and general track experience. Group C is for advanced drivers with prior ORP experience in both CCW and CW directions, track driving school experience, and years of track events. All attendees must sign waivers upon entry. ORP charges a $10 maintenance fee at the gate, or a yearly entry fee badge can be purchased for $25. Observe a 5 MPH speed limit in the pits and paddock areas. No drugs or alcohol are permitted on the property. All fluids and garbage must be contained and disposed of properly. Pit areas should be kept neat, and all tents or pop-up shades must be tied down due to potential winds. Bring plenty of water and whole food snacks to maintain energy. Ethanol-free gas is available at the track; check in with Brenda at the ORP Office. Lunch can be pre-purchased during registration; no day-of purchases will be available. Rental cars and instructors are available through Stars Project at Oregon Raceway Park; contact Brenda Pikl, Office Manager, on the ORP website to reserve an instructor. Dry camping is free, with gates open for campers Sunday from 6 PM to 9 PM. Camping is on pavement or rocks. Camping is also available outside the gate after 9 PM Sunday, on similar rocky terrain, but be aware of snakes. Restrooms with showers are available; please be mindful of others during morning use.
