New England Region SCCA presents Midnight Madness #5 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park from August 14 to August 16, 2026. This event includes the CRE Club Racing Experience and Historic Racing Group Series, sanctioned by SCCA as 26-R-66154, 26-VINT-66155, and 26 CRE-66156. Online registration opens on July 14, 2026. Race day on Saturday, August 15 begins with 15 minute qualifying sessions by race group at 10:30 am, followed by a lunch break around 1:25 pm. Regional Race 1, 12 minutes plus one lap, starts around 2:14 pm. CRE Race 2 will run before the dinner break, with grids set by the finishing order of Race 1. Regional Race 2 for groups 2-8, 18 minutes plus 1 lap, begins around 7:50 pm and is the contingency race for both sanctions. Overnight camping is permitted. Track registration hours are Friday, August 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, August 15 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am. Tech hours are Friday, August 14 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, pending staff availability, with marker light checks from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Scales open Saturday, August 15 at 9:00 am, subject to temporary closure during post qualifying and race impound sessions. A flag meeting will be held Saturday, August 15 at 9:30 am in the picnic table area near Station 6 gate. All vehicles must leave the paddock by 10:00 am on Sunday, August 16.
