The NEQ High Performance Driving School takes place at Watkins Glen International on September 21-22, 2026. Watkins Glen is a premier three and a half mile racetrack with eleven turns and challenging elevation changes, situated high on a hillside with views of Seneca Lake. This driving school focuses on improving driving skills under the close supervision of experienced instructors. Participants will learn to handle their vehicles at speeds not typically reached on public roads, preparing them for emergencies and allowing them to explore their driving capabilities in a controlled environment. Beginners will have an instructor in the passenger seat during all on-track sessions. Experienced drivers can be "signed off" for solo driving after demonstrating proficiency to an instructor and the Chief Instructor. While on track, passing in corners is not permitted, and the event emphasizes safety over competition. Drivers are organized into run groups based on experience, skill, and vehicle type. Each day includes four 20-30 minute on-track sessions, totaling 3 to 4 hours of track time over the event. Mandatory classroom sessions cover vehicle dynamics and driving techniques, offering opportunities for Q&A. Registration fees are $745 for two days or $470 for one day for students; instructor fees are waived. All participants must be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA), with an annual membership fee of $49. Members of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) are also welcome without an ACNA membership. While all car makes are welcome, there are restrictions on convertibles. Helmets are required, and rental helmets are available. A banquet will be held with a fee of $60.
