This event, NEPASCCA Pocono Event #9, is a Points Event for the RedShift Competition 2026 NEPA SCCA Solo Points Series. It will be held at Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, PA. The gate opens at 7:00am, and the track will be hard locked at 7:00pm. All participants and staff must head for the gate by 6:30pm. Registration check-in, tech inspection, and course walking are available from 7:00am to 8:00am, with first heat drivers gridding during this time. The drivers meeting is at 8:30am, followed by worker check-in and final first heat gridding at 8:45am. Competition runs begin at 9:00am. Each competitor will receive at least three runs. There will be no lunch break or breaks between heats for worker changeovers; everyone will have one "off" heat during the morning and afternoon sessions and a work assignment for at least one heat per day. The course will be open for walking on Friday afternoon (after design and safety tests), Saturday morning, Saturday late afternoon, and Sunday morning. Registration is capped at 150 entries and closes two days prior to the event. No walk-up registration will be available, and there are no refunds for this event. The SCCA annual member single day entry fee is $80 if registered prior to August 7, 2026, and $95 on or after August 7, 2026. Non-SCCA annual members pay an additional $20. All SCCA Solo National classes are run, including Open, Ladies, and a Novice class. All vehicles must pass tech inspection, requiring car numbers and classes on both sides of the vehicle, as well as RedShift Competition and Solo Performance Specialties (SPS) stickers. Helmets meeting SCCA requirements are mandatory for all solo participants; a limited quantity of loaner helmets will be available. Passengers aged 16 and older with ID are allowed. Shifter karts are permitted for drivers 18 years or older. All drivers, passengers, and participants in designated hot zones must be SCCA members (annual, weekend, or trial). Pocono's waiver and NEPA's waiver must be signed, and NEPA wristbands must be worn. Children are allowed everywhere except during active competition; they should not be in the course or grid areas without event chair permission. There are no special fees for guests. Pocono offers camping packages in self-contained RVs through their offices for Friday or Saturday night. Parking or idling is prohibited on access roads around the infield road course. Spectators and non-race vehicles should use designated gravel parking areas, while race vehicles park in the paved NASCAR garage area. Drones are not permitted. NEPASCCA will monitor sound levels; cars exceeding 93db will receive a warning, and those equal to or exceeding 96db must modify exhausts or cease competition. Drivers leaving the course due to reckless driving will be asked to leave without refund. Year-end trophies, jackets, and awards are for annual SCCA members only; event trophies are provided to all outstanding competitors, but single day entries are not eligible for regional trophies. Minors (under 18) driving, passenger, working, or spectating require a Minor Waiver. The timing trailer and event staff equipment tent are off limits to non-event staff. Plan for a long day and varying weather conditions; bring your own tents and umbrellas.
