Registration for the NASA event at Firebird Raceway closes on Thursday, September 17, at 8:00 PM. Late entries may be possible for an additional fee. The event takes place at Firebird - West Track (CCW Direction), located at 20000 S. Maricopa Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. Enter at Gate 3; the paddock is on the right after the ticketing booths. Anyone entering the facility must sign the NASA Waiver. Minor participants under 18 must sign at Driver Info with a parent or legal guardian. Run groups include HPDE1-4, NASA Time Trial (regular points/contingency event), NASA Race Group (regular points/contingency event), and UMS Tuning Time Attack Series (regular points event). Drivers can register for Priority Check-In for overnight item drop-off (honor system fee to cover security) or Camping for overnight stays. If camping, Priority Check-In is not also required. Specific registration options are available for HPDE1 (Beginner with classroom and instruction), HPDE2 (Novice, limited passing, no passengers), HPDE3 (Intermediate, limited passing), and HPDE4 (Advanced, open passing). Time Attack options are available for Saturday only for HPDE3+ drivers: $30 for transponder rental (must be combined with HPDE3, HPDE4, TT, or Race Group) or $20 for those with their own transponder. Time Trial (TT) is for competitive lap times and requires a valid NASA Time Trial or Competition license. Race Group is for wheel-to-wheel racing and requires a valid NASA Competition Racing License. Transponder rentals are only available for Time Trial and Race Group. Vendors can register at no cost for paddock planning and event communication. Paddock and gate times for Friday early setup are TBD but will be in the early afternoon. Saturday gate opens at 6:00 AM and closes at event completion. Driver Info/Registration will be located at the tan RV or just outside it, near the 48' white gooseneck trailer with the "NASA AZ" feather flag. HPDE1 drivers must check in at registration. All other groups will receive their wristbands from their Group Leader after the Drivers Meeting. Self-serve forms and schedules are available at the Driver Info table. All participants must be aware of the NASA Club Codes & Regulations (nasaproracing.com/rules/ccr.pdf) and NASA Arizona region specific Supplemental Rules (nasaaz.com/nasa-arizona-supplemental-rules/). Tow hooks are not absolutely required for HPDE cars, but cars needing towing without hooks may be restricted from future track time. Time Trial cars require front and rear tow hooks for Annual Tech. The mandatory Drivers Meeting for all drivers, instructors, and officials is at 7:30 AM on Saturday. Drivers should arrive 30-60 minutes prior to allow for spot finding, check-in, and tech inspection. All HPDE cars require an onsite tech inspection using a pre-filled "HPDE Tech" form (drivenasa.com/forms). Drivers are responsible for knowing flag meanings; a Flag FAQ sheet is available at Driver Info. Rental helmets are $20 per day, with priority for registered drivers. Passenger helmet rentals are first come, first served after the Drivers Meeting. Passengers must be 18 with photo ID, are allowed only in HPDE3, HPDE4, or Time Trial, and must sign a Passenger Waiver in addition to the Gate Waiver. Transponders must be checked out at Driver Info and returned within 30 minutes of the final session to avoid a late fee. Hardcopy results will be posted at Driver Info, and live timing is available via the "Speedhive" app. Provisional and Official results are available at drivenasa.com/results. ST and TT competitors are expected to declare their classing on the NASA Super Touring website (drivenasa.com/supertouring). A handwashing station with Fast Orange and water is set up next to the 48' NASA gooseneck trailer. Water and soda are available for participants and guests via a self-serve cash box. A mobile food truck is expected to provide breakfast and lunch. Safety Solutions (We Don't Lift) will be onsite for driver safety products and accessories. Fuel is available at a Chevron station less than 1/4 mile away (87/89/91 octane, diesel) and Love's less than 1 mile away (100/110 octane). NASA Arizona will have tire service ($10 dismount, $15 mount, $10 balance, $6 disposal), with free self-serve air. The weekend schedule is TBD.
