This Member Driving Day, dubbed 'Legends' Friday 08/28, is a half-day event at Dominion Raceway in Thornburg, VA. Members can enjoy driving on the track, followed by a cookout on the deck and a Member Social with beverages and snacks while watching Legend action on track. The Drivers Club at Dominion Raceway offers motoring enthusiasts access to 20 member and guest only track days, plus 12 to 15 other performance driving track events each year on the Dominion Raceway 2-mile road course. The club and track are located within a 60-mile drive of both Washington, DC and central VA. This event is open only to members and members' guests. A Member Driving Day will be canceled if no members are registered by noon the day prior to the event. For cold weather, if the forecast by noon the day before calls for less than 3 hours above 45 degrees (excluding the lunch break) and there are fewer than 6 registered and committed members or guests, the event will be canceled. For wet weather, if the forecast by noon the day before calls for all day rain or severe storms in both the morning and afternoon, the event will most likely be canceled. Forecasts for scattered showers or a single thunderstorm typically will not cause a cancellation. Please check the weather forecast the day before the event.
