The MBR SCCA 2026 Points Event #7 is an autocross competition held at Lake Erie Speedway. Autocross, also known as Solo, is a timed motorsports event where drivers navigate a cone-defined course to achieve the lowest time, incurring penalties for hitting cones. Lake Erie Speedway features a 3/8-mile oval track with banked turns and a paved infield, all of which are utilized during the event. This event welcomes almost any production car, from showroom stock to heavily modified vehicles, with cars competing only against similar vehicles based on performance potential and modifications. Autocross is designed to be accessible and affordable; no specialized safety gear beyond an approved helmet is required. The event schedule begins with the site opening at 8:00 AM, followed by registration check-in and tech inspection at 8:30 AM. The course walk opens after passing tech inspection, with a novice walk scheduled for 9:15 AM. A mandatory driver's meeting takes place at 9:30 AM, and the first car will be on course at 9:45 AM. The awards ceremony is typically held around 4:00 PM. The cost to participate is $45 for SCCA members and $70 for non-SCCA members for a single day. All competitors must have a valid driver's license to participate. Due to a later start time, lunch will not be provided; a single 10-15 minute break between heats is scheduled. Participants should bring their own snacks or eat before arriving.
