Max Track Time at Watkins Glen is an exclusive event for racers and advanced track day drivers offering maximum track time. This event is held at Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen, NY. The event features an open track all day with no run groups, allowing participants to manage their own on track schedule. This semi-private test atmosphere is suitable for professional teams developing drivers and testing equipment, as well as club racers aiming to refine their setup. Participants must be comfortable in an open passing environment. The event has a 30 car limit and is open to closed wheel cars only; no formula cars are permitted. A catered lunch and full day coffee and beverage service are included. The full day schedule includes registration and check in from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, a drivers meeting at 8:00 AM in the Media Center, sighting laps for street cars only from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM, and hot track from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a one hour catered lunch break at noon. The half day schedule includes registration and check in from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, a drivers meeting at 12:30 PM in the classroom, and hot track from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. All participants must have a valid racing license or verifiable open track and open passing experience. First time registrants will have their experience level verified by the registrar. A valid driver’s license is required for all drivers. Drivers aged 16 and 17 must also have a completed minor waiver. An SA-2015 or newer helmet is required; helmet rentals are not available. Drivers must wear a helmet and safety harness on track at all times. For race cars, full racing gear including a HANS device is required. Drivers of track prepared street cars must wear a helmet and HANS device. No passengers are allowed on track. Participants are responsible for preparing their vehicle to meet track driving rigors, to the minimum standard outlined in the Tech Guide PDF. Max Track Time reserves the right to re-inspect any vehicle and deny participation if it is deemed unsafe or improperly prepared; no refund will be given in such cases. The event runs rain or shine.
