Kart Racing School at Atlanta Motorsports Park offers a full day of karting instruction for drivers aged 12 and up. The program runs from 9:00 AM to approximately 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM, with registration and check-in beginning at 8:30 AM. This class is designed for participants ranging from beginners to experienced racers, focusing on achieving fast lap times and developing driving techniques with guidance from highly trained AMP instructors. The full-day program includes classroom instruction, track time, and lead-follow sessions. Attendees will experience the Pro Concession followed by the Lo206, transitioning to open-wheeled Briggs and Stratton 206cc Lo206 go karts after completing the Pro Concession experience. The full day also includes a helmet rental and 90 minutes of track time. Each school requires a minimum of 5 participants and is limited to 14 students per day. For younger racers under 12, private instruction is recommended. One hour of private instruction is equivalent to a Half Day School. Parents can also sign up their child for a two hour private instruction session to equal a Full Day School opportunity. Required attire includes pants with a jacket or a racing suit, with layering recommended due to temperature changes throughout the day. Flexible shoes such as Converse, Pumas, or personal racing shoes are necessary. Participants can use their own full-faced helmet with a visor or rent one on site.
