The GWS-MBCA AX autocross event takes place at Potomac Circuit, Summit Point, WV. This event utilizes traffic cones to create a road course, challenging drivers to complete the course in the shortest time without hitting cones or going off course. This form of motorsport emphasizes intensity and quick decision-making. Participants need a car, a driver's license, and a helmet. Trailered cars and dedicated track cars are welcome. Passengers are permitted if they wear helmets and safety belts. Attendees should bring their own lunch and drinks for the day. Participants must clean out their cars and prepare for a tech inspection, which includes ensuring a good battery hold down, no loose items in the cabin, secure camera tech if used, and no junk in the trunk. Motorcycle helmets are acceptable. The event fee is $65. Registration closes at 8:00 p.m. the Wednesday before the Saturday event. No in-person or walk-up registrations are accepted. Cancellations are not permitted after registration closes. The participant welcome reception opens at 8:00 a.m. The event day schedule is approximate: Car Tech from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Drivers' Meeting from 9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Course Walk from 9:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m., with the first car off at 10:00 a.m. and the last car off at 4:00 p.m. All drivers must be present for the Drivers' Meeting to participate. Drivers should arrive early to sign the event participation form, fill out their timing slip, prepare their car, and have it checked by the tech team.
