The BMWCCA Golden Gate Chapter hosts a competitive driving event at Salinas Municipal Airport. This fun run includes run groups and timing, with the goal of maximizing seat time. Participants should classify their cars and display car numbers on both sides. Passengers and ride-alongs are permitted, and car swapping is allowed for non-competing drivers. While no prior high-performance driver training is required, attending a Car Control Clinic or similar training is highly recommended. Driver coaches will be available for guidance. All makes of cars are welcome, not just BMW and MINI. To sign up, first understand all event requirements, including COVID-19 information, waivers, membership, payments, cancellation policy, tech inspection checklist, timeline, helmet requirements, waitlist, and guest policy. BMWCCA membership is required; participants can join or renew at bmwcca.org, or register as a non-member and the chapter will process the membership. After reviewing requirements and ensuring membership, complete the registration form and sign the electronic waiver. No on-site or late sign-ups will be accepted. This is a private event for registered participants and accompanied guests only; no entry will be permitted after 8:15 AM. Attendees must have their own Snell 2015 (or newer) certified helmet (M, SA, or EA). Snell 2010 helmets are not accepted. All cars, including stock convertibles, are welcome; special roll cages are not required. Most SUV/SAV vehicles are not permitted. Drones, pets, and weapons are not allowed. This is a non-smoking event. Staff will be on site at 7:00 AM for course setup, with tech inspections beginning around 7:30 AM. Trailer check-in opens at 7:30 AM. The gate and check-in close at 8:15 AM. A mandatory attendee meeting for all on site will start promptly at 8:30 AM. A course walk is scheduled for 9:00 AM. Run Group 1 Session 1 begins at 9:30 AM, followed by Run Group 2 Session 1 at 10:45 AM. Lunch is at 12:00 PM. Run Group 1 Session 2 starts at 12:45 PM, and Run Group 2 Session 2 at 2:15 PM. Site cleanup begins at 4:00 PM, and the site closes at 5:00 PM.
