The Detroit Region SCCA presents Solo #7 and #8 at Oscoda-Wurtsmith Airport in Oscoda, MI on October 3rd and 4th, 2026. Drivers and spectators should use the new directions to the site: from US-23 N, turn left onto E F41 (Burger King is on the corner), then left onto Arrow St, and finally right onto Huron Ave. Camping is permitted on the grass starting Thursday evening. The event begins Friday, October 2nd, with a Test N Tune session from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, capped at 40 participants. Registration for the Test N Tune is available by contacting Mike Rodriguez. Participation in the Test N Tune requires working a shift. On Saturday, October 3rd, Registration and Tech for Event #2 are mandatory for all drivers from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. A Novice Walk will be held at 9:05 AM, followed by a mandatory Drivers Meeting at 9:30 AM. Cars will go to Grid immediately after the Drivers Meeting, with first heat drivers proceeding to grid and workers reporting to the worker chief. For Event #3 on Sunday, October 4th, Registration and Tech open at 8:00 AM and close at 8:30 AM. The Novice Walk is at 8:35 AM, and the Drivers Meeting is at 9:00 AM. Cars will proceed to Grid immediately following the Drivers Meeting. Loaner helmets are available, but drivers are encouraged to bring their own SNELL, FIA, or SFI certified helmet. DRSCCA offers Novice (N), Ladies Index (LI), and Pro (PRO) index classes. All drivers and spectators must sign an SCCA waiver to enter the event site. Drivers can sign annual waivers or event specific SpeedWaivers during registration. Please bring your valid driver’s license, SCCA member card if applicable, and annual waiver card if applicable. This event is pre-register and pre-pay only; walk-up registration or payments will not be accepted. Drivers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is in competition configuration with numbers and class letters on body panels before arriving at tech inspection. Numbers must be a minimum of 8 inches high, and class letters a minimum of 4 inches high. Have your helmet available at Tech, and pop your hood and trunk. We will attempt roaming registration at Tech, so please have your license and Membership card ready. If there are any changes to your car, class, or number, you will need to check in at the Funmover registration area. We will run rain or shine, so bring appropriate clothing. It is recommended to bring water, food, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, rain gear, a hat, a folding chair, a tire pressure gauge, and tools, jack, and jack stands.
