Delta Region Solo December Event #10 will be held at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, LA. Autocross events typically begin around 10 AM on the day of the event and proceed rain or shine, except in apocalyptic weather. All Delta events are open to drivers with an appropriate vehicle and a valid driver's license or permit, as well as to spectators and riders over 12 years of age. Loaner helmets are available for drivers. The event uses an advanced timing system and Axware Autocross management software. Event fees cover site rental, sanctions, insurance, free water, chalk, cones, and club operations. Any roadworthy car or purpose-built race car is acceptable, provided it passes a basic inspection. Exceptions include high center of gravity vehicles such as 4x4 trucks, SUVs, minivans, and certain cars, karts, and vehicles without driver protection. Drivers can consult the Solo Rulebook or contact Delta via Facebook to determine their car's class. Autocross is generally not harder on a car than spirited street driving, though it does consume tires. Drivers are encouraged to prioritize learning to drive and acquiring a helmet and decent tires before modifying their vehicles.
