The Tire Rack Street Survival school will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY. This event focuses on a hands-on driving experience, using your own car to teach about its handling limits and how to control them. Students will become more observant of traffic situations, learning to anticipate actions of other drivers. They will understand the physics of driving and how to apply them, which helps to reduce unwise driving actions. The program also emphasizes why seatbelts should always be worn by both drivers and passengers. A video featuring three parents, including former Indy Car Champion Scott Goodyear, offers additional perspectives on the program. The fee for all schools is $175.
