Cal Club Autocross returns to Storm Stadium in Lake Elsinore, California on August 15 and 16. This two day event features a test and tune day on Saturday, followed by a Champ Day competition on Sunday. Both days offer ample track time for drivers to practice or compete. Saturday, August 15, is a practice and test-n-tune day, offering 12 runs split across morning and afternoon sessions. Participants will have two work assignments. Sunday, August 16, is a standard 4-run timed Champ Day competition. An optional afternoon practice session with 8 runs is available for purchase, limited to 80 spots. Those who register for afternoon practice on Sunday will have two work assignments. Autocross is a timed competition where drivers navigate a cone defined course one car at a time. Safety is emphasized, and the event is sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). All participants must be SCCA members. Non-members can purchase a weekend membership for $25 during online registration, which can be applied toward an annual membership. Paddock gates open at 7:00 am, followed by registration and tech inspection at 7:30 am. A mandatory driver's meeting is at 8:45 am, with the first car out around 9:10 am. First-timers are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 am for registration, tech, and course walks. Drivers with fewer than 5 autocross events are advised to complete at least one course walk and view the provided orientation video. The full weekend package, including Saturday practice and Sunday competition, is $150. A full weekend practice package is available for $180. Saturday practice entry is $110, with a split driver option for $130. Sunday points entry is $69, with an additional $40 for afternoon practice. A Sunday practice entry is $109. Walk-up registration on the day of the event incurs a $20 additional fee. A $10 codriver entry fee applies. Students with valid proof of enrollment receive a $20 discount. The cancellation deadline for a standard refund is the Wednesday before the event. Driving directions: Take I-15 to Lake Elsinore, exit on Diamond Drive/Railroad Canyon Road (Exit 73) and turn south. Turn right onto Malaga Road in 0.6 miles. This is a run work event, and all registered drivers must perform at least one work assignment unless cleared by the event chief. Passengers aged 12 and older are permitted with a free wristband from registration; passengers under 18 require a minor waiver signed by both parents. Safety rules include SCCA Solo Rules and Cal Club Autocross Supplemental Regulations, Snell SA2010 or newer helmets, no alcohol on site, a 5 MPH pit speed limit, and a 25 MPH access road speed limit. Closed exhaust is required, with a 100db at 50 feet noise standard. For Champ Day competition, car numbers and class letters are required. To score points for a year end trophy, a current 2026 Points card with a permanent car number ($25) is necessary. Those without an annual number can use a 6xx number on a first come, first served basis. Existing magnets or vinyl numbers can be converted to a 1xxx number at registration check in. Classing is based on car and modifications; assistance with classing is available by email or on the day of the event. A Novice class is available for newcomers with fewer than 4 events in the last 3 years. Event officials reserve the right to make changes without further notice.
