The Young Driver Program is an educational event at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL, designed to enhance everyday driving skills for young drivers. This program is for young adults aged 18-23 who possess a driver's license and have some on-road driving experience. The program focuses on safe driving behaviors, roadside maintenance, and safety tactics. Participants will engage in a multi-drill program, operating in up to five groups. During the first half of the day, each group will rotate through five distinct drills on the skid pad. For the second half, participants will be reassigned into four groups to compete in the Young Driver Challenge. This challenge reinforces program content and fosters engagement and collaborative competition. The total time commitment for the program is approximately 9 hours, from 7am to 4pm, including set up and tear down. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
