The Advanced Driver Coaching program at Lime Rock Park, Lakeville, CT, from 12 PM to 5 PM, is designed for experienced track drivers and enthusiasts seeking to enhance their driving abilities in their own vehicles, whether a race car or a street car. This program is ideal preparation for casual or competitive performance driving events and offers a substantial amount of driving time with five professional track driving and racing coaches on a course specifically designed for skill development. Participants will take advantage of the FCP Euro Proving Grounds, including the 300-foot diameter skid pad, to maximize training time. The curriculum allows for repetitive technique development and intensive skill building, with exercises focused on precision car control on the skid pad. Skid pad sessions include the use of a Lime Rock Park-provided Mazda MX-5 to prevent excessive wear on personal vehicles. These sessions generally take place during unmuffled Tuesdays to avoid conflicting with track days or race weekends. Unmuffled dates also allow amateur racers to receive feedback specific to their race car. This program offers significant value compared to the cost of private coaching and skid pad rental, aiming to improve lap times, car feel, and competitiveness.
