The 2026 Championship Autocross Event #8 takes place at Rt. 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. The full event schedule and rules are available on the SCCA Chicago website. The event typically finishes around 5:00 pm. The day begins with Registration from 7:15 am to 8:15 am, Worker Assignment from 7:20 am to 8:20 am, and Tech Inspection from 7:15 am to 8:40 am. Course walking is open from 7:30 am to 8:55 am, with no new course walks beginning after 8:50 am, except for Morning worker staff. A Novice Course Walk is scheduled for 8:40 am. The Drivers Meeting and 1st Heat Worker Check-in begin at 9:00 am, with the first car off at 9:15 am. Novice Class and Ladies Class drivers run with their standard class. The event runs rain or shine, but will be temporarily suspended if lightning is observed. Pre-payment on MotorsportReg is required; cash or credit card payments will not be accepted on-site. Your card will be charged 24 hours before the event. To receive a full refund, you must cancel by 7:00 am on the event day. A hard registration cut-off is at 8:15 am on the day of the event. Registrants arriving after 8:15 am will forfeit their pre-registration spot to waitlist participants. Entry fees are $52 for Chicago Region SCCA Member Early Registration, $57 for Member Week Of Registration, and $70 for Member On-Site registration. For non-members, fees are $72 for Early Registration, $77 for Week of Registration, and $90 for On-Site Registration; these costs include SCCA Weekend Membership. Early Registration closes four days before the event, and Week Of Registration closes one day before the event. Numbers 100-199 are reserved for two-driver cars; please select an available number between 1-99 and 200-999. New drivers should arrive between 7:00 am and 7:30 am. New Driver Liaisons will be available throughout the event to assist with questions and concerns. Listen for announcements regarding New Driver Liaisons and course walk coordination. After registration and obtaining a work assignment, prepare your car for racing, proceed to Technical Inspection, and then walk the course. Meet the New Driver Liaison near the course start for the New Driver Course Walk at 8:40 am.
